Newsroom

Welcome to the Kira newsroom, the place for our latest releases, company milestones, press coverage, and media resources. We publish updates on a regular cadence rather than in occasional bursts, because we think a team that ships consistently is more trustworthy than one that goes quiet for months and then announces everything at once, as though the silence itself was a strategy rather than a symptom of something slowing down internally. Looking for an interview or have a media inquiry? Find the right contact below.

Our Approach to Sharing Updates

Most changelogs fall into one of two failure modes. Either they list every internal change with equal weight, a fixed typo sitting next to a genuinely new capability as though they're the same size of news, or they only announce the big splashy launches and leave months of quieter, real progress invisible in between. We've tried to avoid both. Major releases get real explanation here, not just a feature name, and the smaller, steadier improvements still get logged rather than disappearing into internal release notes nobody outside the company ever sees.

We also try to explain why something shipped, not just that it shipped. A changelog entry that says "improved Smart Calendar" tells you nothing useful. One that explains what specifically got better, and why it mattered to someone using the product that week, actually respects your time enough to be worth reading. That's the standard we're holding ourselves to here, and if you ever feel an entry falls short of that, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.

Product Updates

Rather than listing every internal change with equal weight, here's what actually shipped recently and why it matters to you specifically, not just what changed technically under the hood:

DateUpdateWhy It Matters
June 2026Kira for Windows is now generally availableBrings the full native desktop experience to the platform most business teams already run, closing a real gap for Windows-only teams
May 2026Kira for Mac adds Voice Command and faster call summariesHands-free control plus summaries that arrive faster after a call ends, not minutes later while you're already onto the next thing
April 2026Redesigned Smart Calendar with smarter reschedulingMoving one meeting no longer means manually untangling the rest of your day one event at a time
March 2026Expanded integrations hubMore of the tools you already use can now connect directly, instead of requiring a workaround or a separate manual step
February 2026AI Call Agents gain live transcription and follow-up actionsSee what's being said as the call happens, and get concrete next steps the moment it ends, rather than waiting for a summary later
January 2026Performance and reliability improvements across all agentsLess waiting, fewer hiccups, particularly noticeable if you're running several agents simultaneously across different tasks

Company Milestones

DateMilestone
2026Kira reaches 35+ production modules across web and desktop
2025AI Call Agents and Voice Command launch
2024Kira is founded in San Francisco

Three milestones across three years isn't an accident, it reflects a deliberate choice to ship in focused waves rather than trying to launch everything simultaneously and risk doing all of it poorly at once. 2024 was about proving the core loop worked at all, email and calendar, the most fundamental coordination problem, before attempting anything more ambitious. If that foundation didn't genuinely save people time, nothing built on top of it would matter regardless of how impressive it sounded.

2025 extended that foundation into voice and calls, a genuinely harder and higher-stakes surface area than email. A call happens live, in real time, with no opportunity to draft, review, and revise before it goes out the way an email does. Building something that could handle that pressure reliably took longer specifically because getting it wrong is far more visible and consequential than a delayed email draft.

2026 has been about reach, less about adding entirely new categories of capability and more about making sure the experience people already valued was available on the platforms and in the languages more people actually use day to day. Kira for Windows exists for exactly this reason, functionality that already worked well on Mac, finally reaching the operating system most business teams run.

How to Actually Follow Along

Beyond this page itself, there are a few different ways to stay current depending on how deeply you want to track what we're doing. Our newsletter, linked in the footer, sends a periodic digest rather than an email for every individual update, useful if you'd rather check in monthly than track things in real time. Our blog goes deeper into the reasoning behind bigger releases, closer to a product essay than a changelog entry, for anyone who wants the "why" behind a decision, not just the announcement. And our social channels tend to surface smaller, more immediate updates and behind-the-scenes context that doesn't always warrant a full entry here.

Whichever you choose, we'd rather you actually see the updates that matter to your workflow than miss something useful simply because it got buried in a channel you don't check.

Press and Media

Interviews, executive commentary, or a spot on our press distribution list, reach out to our media team. We're glad to share background on the product, our approach to responsible AI, and the problems Kira actually solves for the people using it, not just a polished pitch, but the honest version of what we're still working on too, including where we think we still have real room to improve.

Media Kit and Brand Assets

Need our logo, product screenshots, or company facts? Our media kit has approved assets and brand guidelines, ready to go, so you're not left recreating a screenshot yourself, guessing at correct logo usage, or reaching out just to confirm a basic fact about the company that should be easy to find.

Stay Updated

Want product news in your inbox? Subscribe to our newsletter from the footer, or follow our blog and social channels for the latest from Kira. Given how often we ship, following along somewhere is genuinely the easiest way to not miss something that ends up mattering to your workflow later, rather than discovering a feature exists months after it could have already been saving you time.

This page is the complete, structured record, releases, milestones, and press resources together. The newsletter is a periodic digest for people who'd rather check in less frequently. The blog goes deeper into the reasoning behind major decisions, more essay than announcement, for anyone who wants the full story behind a release, not just what shipped.
